• Updated the TidesPro Watch app. TidesPro for Watch now requires watchOS 9 or above. If you're using watchOS 8, you'll need to either downgrade to TidesPro version 2.x, or update your Watch to watchOS 9 or 10. On watchOS 10, the app now shows location details as a vertical tab carousel (when viewing the tide chart, you can tap to change the number of hours the chart is displaying; you can tap the sun or moon location chart to view a listing of sun/moon events). On watchOS 9, the display is similar to the previous version.
• The TidesPro Watch app now displays the current estimated height and tide trend of all your favorites together on the list screen (if you have a network connection).
• If you've been using Watch Complications for a long time, there's a small chance your complications will need to be re-added after this update, since we disabled some legacy code.
• The watchOS Tide Complication location is now selected manually on either the bottom of the location details (tap the button to set the complication location to the current location), or in Settings where you can tap to set the complication location to automatically detect your location as you move. (More instructions are in the iOS app under Settings -> Watch.)

• Home Screen and Lock Screen Widgets: Changed the default location to "Auto Location". Auto Location will detect your location by default (this is the way widgets worked by default previously). You can also change the setting for Auto Location to "Most recent" to mirror whatever location is loaded in the App. The setting is in the App under Setings -> Widgets/Lock Screen Widgets (Widgets require Premium)
• Fixed some bugs with Lock & Home Screen Widgets, including an issue when tapping on a widget using your current location might load a different location in the App if your auto-detected location didn't match in the App/Widget.

• Added an interactive Weather Widget for the Home Screen that currently supports wind, air temperature, pressure (simple barometer), and humidity (simple hygrometer). Configure the location and theme like other widgets. Tap the condition icon in the top right to switch to viewing a different condition. These values are currently the same as the On-Shore Weather predictions/observations shown in the Weather tab in the iOS/iPadOS app, with the National Weather Service as the primary source, so they are currently most useful for tide predictions that are near land. Observation types vary between stations, and some readings (e.g. pressure) may not be available at all locations. If you use multiple interactive weather widgets, set the Unique ID configuration to different values (otherwise, *all* the TidesPro interactive widgets you have on your home screen will switch conditions at the same time). Premium & iOS/iPadOS 17+ required.
• Added On-Shore weather observations at the top of Weather -> On-Shore. The observations will only display if the respective National Weather Service station is reporting current observations. If they don't show up, the NWS did not respond quickly or is not reporting recent observations. On-Shore weather observations are similar to Buoy Observations -- sometimes the stations report sporadically, and the observation types can vary even during the same day. Not all locations are near to a NWS observation station, so observations are not available at every location.
• Renamed the "Observations" selection to "Buoy" on the Weather tab.
• Added Settings -> Measurement Units to change some of the measurement units in the app -- note that this is currently limited, and tide height units are not yet supported.
• Fixed a possible performance issue with Lock Screen Widgets and Watch Complications.
• TidesPro now requires iOS/iPadOS 16.4 or above.

• Live Activities now show a "Stale" badge in expanded state if they happen to go stale (this should only happen in an error condition or if you lose network access).
• Added a Launch Tab setting to let you choose what tab opens when you launch the app on iOS/iPadOS. The default is "Most recent," which is the way TidesPro has worked for a while, but you can now choose a specific tab to always open at launch instead with this setting.

• We got a lot of feedback recently that the UI a little complicated looking in places, and the headers were overbearing. • The current estimated height/level is no longer drawn by default on the chart, since it's already at the top of the Day tab, by default. You can turn the display back on in Settings -> Current Level on Chart if you prefer to show it on the chart.

• Added an experimental feature to see near real-time water levels from water sensors for a small percentage of locations. Where available, the value replaces the current estimated tide height at the top of the Day tab. (Can be turned on in the Experimental section in Settings.) Note that there is currently no indication in the app as to which locations support water level sensors.

We've fixed an issue with the tide clock home screen widget in this quick bug-fix version.

In the prior version (2.4), we made the following changes:
• New tide clock visualization in the app and new Home Screen widgets. You can change the current tide indicator by tapping on it, or by going into Settings and changing the "Tide Indicator" setting. (*Premium required)
• Improved watch app startup time.
• Tables now remember the last time period you viewed.
• We no longer collect data such as analytics, crashes, and purchases from TidesPro. Our privacy disclosure, privacy policy, and app privacy information inside the app have been updated.
