Description

Access all your Netatmo equipment with a single click.
View measurement history through detailed multi-curve graphs.

Netatmo weather stations (and additional modules), air quality sensors (Aircare or Healthy Home Coach), thermostats and valves support configured on your Netatmo account in a same application

HomeAtmo allows you to display a summary or detailed dashboard of your measurements:
The interface has been developed to offer a global view and to be able to compare values of the same kind from different sensors. You can compare, for example, the humidity level of any sensor measuring it at a glance.
A detailed view, accessible with a single click, allows you to display additional data such as the battery level, the signal quality of each sensor and much more.
By remaining 2 seconds on the name of one of your sensors or one of your measurements in the dashboard, you can also view additional information such as the exact time of measurement, the location, the date of installation and sensor configuration or description of the measurement.

The display of your measurements is refreshed automatically.

The application also allows you to easily switch from displaying data from one weather station to another if you have associated several weather stations with your Netatmo account.
A filter can be applied to display the dashboard: by station, by location or even all stations.

HomeAtmo allows you to display and customize measurements in the menu bar:
You can configure a bar of measurements for each display filter.
By default, you can select up to two measurements in the menu bar from the current temperature, with or without trend, for the main station and the outdoor sensor. The display order is configurable.

Optionally, through the integrated purchase "Premium bar of measures" in the application, you can select up to 6 measures to be displayed in the menu bar amongst any sensor and type of measurement you have and choose their display order. Customization is therefore total and you can change this bar of measures as often as you wish!

You can also configure in the bar:
- the size of the font.
- display of units.
- display of the HomeAtmo icon.
- display of icons in front of your measurements.
- addition of a separator between each measurement.

Leaving your mouse for more than 2 seconds on one of the values displayed in the bar gives you access to some additional information.

HomeAtmo also gives you access to a multi-curve display module:
You can display the curves of the same type of measurements from all your sensors on the same graph!

By default, you can view and export the temperature curves for the main station and the outdoor sensor over the past twelve hours.

Optionally, through the integrated purchase "HomeAtmo Premium Graphics" in the application, you have access to the multi-curve display for temperature, setpoint temperature, CO2 level, relative and absolute humidity, noise , atmospheric pressure for the station, outdoor sensor or even for the additional indoor sensors. The cumulative precipitation curve is also available for the rain gauge as well as the wind speed and gust curves for the anemometer.
With this option, you can select the viewing period of your choice, namely 12 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, 90 days, 6 months and 1 year and move through the history of your measurements.

Depending on the measurement displayed, you can view the average, the total or the minimum and maximum value on the displayed period. An interactive cursor allows you to view the value of the measurement at a given time.
All these measurements can be exported in CSV format.

HomeAtmo supports the user preferences of the Netatmo account for measurement units:
- C° or F°.
- mbar, inHg or mmHg.
- mm or inch.
- km/h, mph, m/s, knot, beaufort.

OK as long as you don't click on anything in the window

Setting it up was fine, and getting it to display the weather station info is fine, but expanding/collapsing station info often results in ong hangs (of Mac OS) with a spinning beachball. Maybe 10 long seconds? Everything eventually comes back, but it's an uncomfortably long wait. The same goes for the settings button; it locks up for maybe 10-15 seconds before displaying the settings dialog. Simply clicking in the menu bar to toggle the netatmo info is fine, though; it pops up and down nicely.

This is on Big Sur.

Update: the developer has fixed the hanging problem, and everything is working well. I've bumped up the rating to 5 stars.

Definitely Worth It

Phone view vs MacBook view is no comparison. Having a large screen makes graphs and maps usable. Just spend the extra $3 to upgrade to the complete views. Again, totally worth it.
I took off one star because , on boot up, the readouts still default to metric and you have to press the "recycle" button on the bottom to go to english.

Suddenly charging for premium, but doesn't amount

I love this utility. I've run it for years. But it seems to have changed the monetization strategy recently.

I used to be able to specify which sensor I wanted displayed in my menu bar. I have multiple indoor sensors, so I want the at-a-glance view to be my office, where my computer is and where I'm working most of the day.

This is suddenly a premium feature. Further, when asked to purchase this feature, no info is displayed about the cost, whether this is a recurring charge, or anything to help make an informed decision. Boo on the developer for taking away an existing feature and boo for making the cost completely opaque. I'm unimpressed with this tactic.

The software is great. The decision making around the business model is unpleasant. I hope this gets changed.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for this feedback. I want to clarify some points that you describe in your review:
I haven't changed my business strategy on the application since its first releases. I also did not remove certain features to make them pay. On the contrary, I made Netatmo equipment from the Energy range accessible at no additional cost to the user in the latest release, as I had done for the Aircare module before. I will be happy to exchange directly with you by email to fully understand your expectations. Can you contact me by email at homeatmo.support@icloud.com?
I thank you in advance.
