## Cowsmetic
- The Meals list (accessible from the top-left button of the Today view) finally looks like what I imagined initially. It has a reading mode with a clean interface, and an editing mode that comes to life with animations when you tap on a given day.
- A more moderate and pleasant dose of color! Let's face it, I'd been a bit heavy-handed with the green. I've been using this update for several weeks now and I love it!

- In the meals history, meals are now sorted by their occasion. This way, Breakfast will always come before Lunch, even if you entered them in reverse order. It should help if you do like me and sometimes answer at the end of the day by going back in time.
- Made the app 5% smaller by... redesigning the Paywall. If you remember, I had started a big work in this sense, but this step needed a redesign to get rid of the very heavy images. Hopefully, this will also bring more of you to support me in exchange for superpowers !

This update is a new start with the possibility to record more information about your meals.

The difficulty was to keep the ultra fast and simple mode (\"yes/no\"), while proposing to go further when you want.

At the beginning, I thought I would simply propose to record the types of meat. But I quickly felt like being able to track fruits and vegetables from time to time because not all of them have the same effects on health or the environment.

I hope you enjoy this update as much as I do.

- Food Portions: keep track of the ingredients you've eaten. Whether you just want to keep track of the type of meat you ate, or keep a comprehensive record of what you eat, anything is possible!
- Ingredients Library: more than 300 food products to choose from, carefully organized and classified according to whether they contain meat or not
- Meal Occasions: specify when a meal happend - breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack
- Vegan Meals: specify when a meal is vegan. Your efforts will not go unnoticed.
- Fasting: make those meatless \"meals\" count too! You can even add a moon to quickly log them.
- Add notes and tags: remember the circumstances or the delights you ate

- Redesigned speech bubble with a more visual display of your meals.
- A small cloud is displayed when an iCloud sync is in progress.

Happy Moo Year! I wish you many delicious meals, good health, and a peaceful mind.

Great things are planned for this year, I can't wait to share them with you. The first major update will involve recording the details of your meals (while keeping it simple when you don't want to bother with more than a yes/no answer).

In the meantime, here's a little update to start the year on the right hoof. It introduces a new concept: collectible energies. These are groups of special energies that show up at random times. These are groups of special energies that manifest at random times. The forecast will tell you that an energy is present, but it won't reveal exactly which one.

Energized cows look different from normal cows and some of the energies in these collections may be rare or unique, so don't miss them!

- If the number of your responses/meals changed significantly each day (e.g. 50 one day, 20 the next, 70 the next), the app could no longer do its calculations (add missing days, attract cows, etc.). I had not imagined this use and the app was not ready to handle the resulting numbers . It should be better now. As always, just record a new meal and the system will self-correct. If you are one of the users who sometimes have more than 5 responses per day, I would like to talk with you to understand your usage please :)
- If you registered a meal for the day, before receiving the news of the day before, the cow you were about to attract was included in the headcount.Whether you understood that sentence or not, you can see why solving this bug might have been a headache. Thanks to the anonymous user who reported it!
- When using shortcuts, the view presented in response would sometimes crash

- We will soon be able to log more content inside the app, but this will require an update of the database. I made (big) changes in preparation for this.

A much smaller app, and even cuter cows.

## Improvement
- The application is 50 to 75% smaller. On an iPhone 14 Pro, that's like going from 72 MB to 22 MB. This means faster downloads with each app update, more storage space for you, and ultimately a greener app.
- The horizon of the forecasts listing the upcoming special cows is now the same as that of the calendar - Thanks Igor
- Cowlidays moons show up even if you're not a Naomist (but you're going to subscribe, right?)

- The app size reduction prompted me to redo the cow images, so I took the opportunity to incorporate the cow makeover that was lying around in my bag. Nothing dramatic, just something to make the cows even cuter.

- Some cows sometimes remained half associated with their day of arrival. What can I say, they are faithful.
- The detail view of the forecast sometimes had an animation bug: the whole view went up and down, instead of just the energy sphere.

- Some alternative app icons have been removed in accordance with ″App Store Review Guidelines″. These icons were too abstract to clearly identify the app.

This update takes advantage of the new features in iOS16 to make it always easier to reach your goals and master your diet.

- Overview Widget: keep an eye on your daily, weekly or monthly progress with a configurable widget that comes in all available formats (Inline, Circular and Rectangular). And since you can add the same widget multiple times, you can add this widget 3 times, change their configuration and track all 3 periods on the same screen!
- Cowlidays Widget: never miss a special cow again with this widget that displays the next (or the next 2) dates when you have a chance to attract one.

Hey!

This update includes a big improvement: a better cow allocation logic that may well earn you more cows.
These changes are retroactive: a recount will take place when your device is idle. If this has an impact on your population, you will get a message in the "Population" view.

# Improvements
- The weekly goal of 0 days without meat has become a "guilt-free mode": the cows will never leave you. It's perfect for people who prefer an opportunistic approach to reducing meat consumption. Previously, this 0 days per week goal was actually 1 day out of 8 day, which meant you could lose cows even though you had no weekly goal!
- Calculations are now done on a weekly basis (Monday to Sunday, in accordance with the international standard ISO 8601 to allow for the arrival of worldwide statistics), instead of 7 rolling days. The rolling day system could result in cows being lost while the target of x days per week was met. Using the weekly basis is more consistent with the principle of setting a weekly goal as well as with the personal organization of many.
- When displaying lists of cows, the sorting was inconsistent between the preview and the full list
- The warning displayed when you change a day in the past has been removed: it was scary and annoying rather than anything else.

- Processing of data downloaded from the cloud could get stuck in a loop
