With Shared with You, you can view the Shared links you've received in Messages in Shared. To open Shared with You, tap its icon on the left of the Settings icon. For the links to show up automatically, go to Messages in the Settings app, then open "Shared with You" and enable automatic sharing for Shared. If you don't choose to enable automatic sharing, only the links you've pinned will appear in Shared with You. Shared with You is available on iOS 16.

Live Activity

When you're identifying a song in Shared, the progress is shown as a Live Activity in the Dynamic Island (on iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max) and on the Lock Screen on iPhone running iOS 16.1 or later.

Reminders:

Safari Extension:

Shared has a Safari Extension that opens links from supported services in Shared when you tap them or when their pages finish loading. To enable the extension:

1. Open Safari
2. Tap “AA” in the address bar
3. Scroll to and tap “Manage Extensions”
4. Enable Shared
5. Tap Done.

For supported links to open in Shared when you tap them—before they load and when you aren't browsing a supported service—choose Always Allow on Every Website when asked. A list of supported services can be found in the walkthrough in Shared's settings.

More Options Buttons:

Shared has added More Options buttons to the history and media view that show options previously only accessible by touch and holding the artwork and by other gestures.

New Convenience Feature:

With Convenience purchased, Shared's reminder notifications include an action to open the song or podcast in your preferred service. To reveal the action, touch and hold the notification.

Song Identification Improvements:

Shared can now:
1. Identify a song without stopping audio playback on your device.
2. Continue identifying a song if you leave the app.

Custom Episode Artwork for Podcasts:

When sharing or opening a podcast episode with custom episode artwork, Shared shows the episode artwork instead of the show artwork.

History Sync:

Your Shared history is now kept in sync across devices signed into your iCloud.

Data Usage Settings:

To reduce data usage, Shared can load a lower-quality version of the music's artwork in the Media View. Shared can also use the saved artwork thumbnail from the History View in the Media View without reloading the original artwork. There's also an Auto-Switch option which enables Low Quality Artwork Mode and disables Reload Original Artwork when on Cellular and the opposite when on Wi-Fi. The options are in a new section in Shared's settings.

Miscellaneous:

· Give Shared an App Store rating.
· View Shared on Instagram and Twitter.
