Watch connectivity has been greatly improved. Connecting is more reliable from greater distances. Reconnection on wrist raise is much faster, more reliable, and now includes a "Reconnecting…" status so you know once a connection has been achieved.

Apple Watch app updated to take advantage of always on display.
